I100 Aeration Pads

Description and working principle

Unlike Pneumatic Hammers, Hammer Blasts and Air Cannons, fluidization pads by WAM® are used as a preventive measure. A variety of materials will show perfect mass flow as soon as a certain amount of air is added at regular intervals during discharging of the bin or silo. In this case the action is gentle. The air-enriched material gains the desired flowability. At the same time, possible tendencies of the product to bridge, rat-hole, go lumpy or deposit are prevented.

Thanks to the semi-convex shape of the durable polymer Fluidization Pads, air is given off at a wide emission angle. A certain number of pads are mounted on the same level inside of the silo cone. If due to poorer flow properties one row isn’t enough, further rows with an even greater number of pads can be added above.
